Review Cards for Salons, Barbers & Beauty Studios

Review cards for hair salons, barbershops, beauty studios and aesthetics clinics. Your client taps the card while they are still in the chair or paying at the desk, and your Google review page opens instantly. No app, no awkward ask. Cards from £13.99 with free UK first class shipping.

“Barber near me” is won on reviews

Hair and beauty is one of the purest local search categories there is. Almost nobody travels far for a haircut, almost nobody books without checking the star rating first, and almost every search happens on a phone. That means three map pack slots decide who gets the booking.

Google weighs review count and review recency heavily in that ranking, and clients read both. A salon with 80 reviews and one from last week reads as busy and current. The same salon with 14 reviews and nothing since last year reads as risky, even if the work is identical.

The problem is not that clients won’t — it’s that asking feels wrong

You have just spent forty-five minutes building genuine rapport with someone. They love the cut. And then you have to end that by asking them for a favour, which quietly turns a nice experience into a transaction. Most stylists and barbers simply don’t do it, and the ones who do only remember maybe one client in ten.

A card removes the ask entirely. It sits on the station or the desk, the client picks it up, taps it, and the review box is already open. You never have to say a word — and because it takes about fifteen seconds, they actually finish it.

Where to put them

  • Styling station or mirror — the client is sitting still with nothing to do for long stretches. Best-performing placement by a distance.
  • Reception desk at payment — they already have their phone out to pay. Zero extra friction.
  • On a lanyard — for mobile stylists, barbers who rent a chair, and anyone without a fixed desk.
  • Card machine or till — pairs naturally with the moment they tap to pay.
  • Waiting area — catches clients who are early and bored.
  • Treatment room — for beauty, aesthetics and nail studios where the client is lying down and relaxed.

“My clients are all regulars — they’ve already reviewed me”

This is the most common objection we hear from salons and barbers, and it is worth unpicking, because it is half right.

Your regulars probably have reviewed you — once, possibly years ago. Google’s local ranking does not treat a 2022 review the same as a review from last month, and neither do new clients, who almost always sort by most recent to see whether a place has gone downhill.

Regulars are also your most willing reviewers. They like you, they want you to do well, and they have simply never been given an easy moment to help. A card on the station gives them that moment every single visit.

Designed to match your salon, not look like a bolt-on

Every card can carry your logo, your colours and your wording. Salons tend to go for something that sits naturally with the interior — a floral or pastel card for a beauty studio, matte black for a traditional barbershop. It should look like part of the room, not like a piece of marketing someone left behind.

Salon & barbershop FAQs

How many cards does a salon need?

Most salons start with one per styling station plus one for reception. A three-chair salon typically orders four or five. Barbershops often add a lanyard card per barber so it travels with them.

Will it work if my stylists rent their chairs?

Yes, and this is a good use case. Each self-employed stylist can have their own card pointing at their own Google listing, so reviews land against the right business.

Can I use it for Trustpilot or just Google?

Either. Most salons choose Google because that is where local search happens. Aesthetics and higher-ticket treatment clinics sometimes prefer Trustpilot, or a dual setup that lets the client pick.
